Business owners hire people they have watched explain things
An owner choosing an attorney, a CPA or a sell-side advisor is deciding whom to trust with the business. A 60-second clip of a partner explaining how a buyer reviews financials, or what an estate plan has to cover, gives that owner more to judge than a firm bio. We shoot those clips in batches at your office, one question per clip, captioned for the sound-off feed.
LinkedIn for precision, Meta for reach
LinkedIn is where owners can be targeted by job title, seniority, company size and industry, and where your partners’ networks already sit. Partners post the explainers from their own profiles. The company Page reposts the strongest clips and runs the campaigns: Thought Leader Ads that put spend behind a partner’s post once the partner approves it, and Document Ads that unlock a checklist or guide after a Lead Gen Form.
Facebook and Instagram reach more owners. In LocaliQ’s 2026 survey of more than 300 small business owners, over 90% used Facebook for marketing, against 48% for LinkedIn. Meta’s targeting is broader, so the creative does more of the sorting. Financial firms should know that Meta requires the “Financial products and services” Special Ad Category for those campaigns in the US, which removes age, gender and ZIP code targeting and lookalike audiences.
Compliance comes first in the calendar
Every profession on this page has advertising rules, and your reviewer decides what runs. Broker-dealers work under FINRA Rule 2210, which requires principal approval of most retail communications and bars promissory or exaggerated claims. SEC-registered advisers follow the Marketing Rule, which allows testimonials only with clear disclosures, oversight and written agreements for paid promoters. Michigan lawyers follow Rules of Professional Conduct 7.1 to 7.3, which restrict ads that create unjustified expectations and require a copy of each ad to be kept for two years. We schedule review before posting, not after. Our guide to LinkedIn and short-form video for law, finance and advisory firms covers each rule in detail.
Start with the questions your clients ask
Bring the five questions owners ask in a first meeting. We will turn them into a shoot plan, a posting schedule and a campaign aimed at the owners you want to meet. Tell us about your firm.
