Short-form video

Short-form video for Reels, TikTok and Shorts

We publish short-form video to more than 245,000 followers of our own every day. We make yours with the same instincts: a hook in the first second, captions for sound-off viewing and an edit that earns the rewatch.

What we do

What’s included

Every project is scoped to what you need. These are the pieces we deliver most often.

Content days

One shoot, a batch of vertical clips. Built for businesses that need to post consistently without filming every week.

Launch and offer videos

Openings, drops and promotions with a clear offer and a trackable code or link.

Aerial openers

Drone shots that stop the scroll in the first second. See drone and aerial.

Creator-style content

On-camera content with Detroit creators, with disclosure and usage rights handled. See creator campaigns.

Editing only

Send us your footage. We cut, caption and format it for each platform.

Paid social cuts

Versions sized and paced for Meta and TikTok ads, with variations for testing.

We learned this on our own channels

Most agencies study short-form video. We publish it every day. Our own channels reach about 46 million views a year, and every post teaches us something about what Detroit audiences stop for, share and save. That is the playbook we bring to your account, not a template from a national trend report.

What actually makes short-form work

  • The first second. Viewers decide almost instantly. We open on motion, a face, a question or a drone shot, never a logo.
  • Sound-off by default. Captions are burned in and on-screen text carries the story when the sound is off.
  • One idea per clip. A clip that tries to say everything gets skipped. We break big stories into a series.
  • Real people. Owners, staff and customers outperform polished stock-style footage for most local businesses.
  • A reason to act. An offer, a date or a place to go. Our Activate Games launch carried a trackable code so the results were measurable.

Our short-form video guide goes deeper, including what changed on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok this year.

Batching saves money

The most expensive part of video is getting a crew on site. A planned content day spreads that cost across a month of posts. We arrive with a shot list built around your calendar, capture every variation we need and edit the batch together, so your feed stays active without a shoot every week.

Where short-form fits

Short-form video is the front door for most brands now. It feeds your social media management, and your ads. If you need longer brand films or commercials too, our video production team shoots both in one visit. Tell us about your project.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How many videos do we get from one shoot?
A planned half-day shoot typically produces four to six finished clips, and a full content day eight to twelve. The number depends on how many locations, people and ideas are in the plan.
How long should a Reel or TikTok be?
Long enough to deliver on the hook and no longer. Many of the clips that perform best for local businesses land between 10 and 45 seconds, but the right length depends on the story and the platform.
Do you post the videos for us?
We can. Posting, captions and community management are part of our social media management service. Many clients also take the finished files and post them in-house.
Can you run the videos as ads?
Yes. We cut versions sized and paced for Meta and TikTok ads, and our paid social team can run them for you.
Do you use trending audio?
For organic posts, sometimes, when it fits and the platform allows commercial use. For ads and business accounts, we use licensed or commercially cleared music to avoid takedowns.
