RAW Digital Group's AI visibility audit shows a Detroit or Michigan business how ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot answer its customers' questions: which companies each engine names, which sources it cites, whether its facts about the business are right, and what to fix first. The audit covers the business's own site, structured data, Google Business Profile, Yelp, Apple Business, Bing Places and directory listings. It is quoted by scope.

Why start with an audit
Most businesses have never heard what an AI assistant says about them. Some find out from a customer: it comes up in passing. Others find out that they are not mentioned at all while a competitor with half the reviews is. The audit replaces guessing with a log. Every prompt, every engine, every named business and every cited page, written down with a date, so you can see exactly what each tool believes and where it learned it.
What we check, and what it tells you
The prompt log. The same question asked to four engines often produces four different lists. The pattern across them is what we report: who gets named, by which engines, and which sources each one cites. The cited sources show where to look first. If Perplexity keeps citing one directory for your category, that directory is a priority.
Fact mismatches. AI assistants reconcile what they find. Two addresses, two phone numbers or a founding year that differs between your site and your Google profile each give an engine a reason to hedge or to pick the wrong one. The audit lists every mismatch with the source it appears on.
Profile gaps. Google’s AI features and Maps answers draw heavily on the Business Profile. We compare yours with the profiles that show up first for your category: categories, services with descriptions, products, photo count and age, posting cadence, review count, review recency and reply rate.
Citations. We map which directories, review sites and best-of lists each engine cited and whether you are on them with the right category and the right landing page. Our guide to how AI search picks local businesses explains why these lists carry so much weight.
Pages. We read your service pages the way an engine does: does the first paragraph say who you are, what you do, where and for whom? Are the questions buyers ask answered in plain sentences? Does the structured data match the visible text?
What you get
A written report with the dated prompt log, the fact-mismatch table, the profile comparison, the citation map and a fix list in order of payoff, plus a call to walk through it. If you continue into our AI search optimization service, the audit becomes month zero of the tracking and nothing is repeated. If you take it in-house, our 25-point AI visibility checklist is the companion to work from.
Who should get one
Detroit and Michigan businesses that sell something people research before buying: contractors and developers, hotels and venues, restaurant groups, manufacturers, professional firms and agencies. If a customer has ever told you an AI assistant got your business wrong, or you have watched a competitor get named for work you do better, tell us what customers should be asking.
